The U.S. Air Force is seeking a contractor to support research and development of space domain awareness technologies through a potential $176 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
A solicitation notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov says the Advanced Space Technology Research and Optimization program will support the mission at the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site in Hawaii.
Services under the ASTRO contract includes work to update and maintain site assets such as the facility’s Advanced Electro Optical System, Raven telescopes, weather equipment and mission technology.
The Air Force Research Laboratory developed the program for sustain AMOS operations related to the development, data collection and the demonstration of ground-based optical systems intended for monitoring space activity.
Interested parties can submit proposals to AFRL through June 6.
