Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has finished spinning off its artificial intelligence platform into a standalone company that will advance the deployment of production-ready AI, build on existing client base across federal and commercial markets and expand its developer community and partner ecosystem.
McLean, Virginia-based Booz Allen said Thursday it will retain a minority stake in Modzy, which will focus on delivering tools to data scientists and developers to facilitate the integration of AI into edge and enterprise systems and providing stakeholders a central location to track AI performance.
“By spinning out Modzy, we continue to take a focused approach to accelerating innovation at the intersection of mission and technology,” said Susan Penfield, chief innovation officer at Booz Allen and a three-time Wash100 Award winner.
The management and information technology consulting firm launched Modzy in 2019 as an enterprise software offering and marketplace meant to help organizations field and manage AI models.
