Puppet Enterprise is designed to help federal agencies speed up the deployment of new applications while maintaining infrastructure availability and integrate security into the infrastructure and app development cycle by advancing DevSecOps capabilities, Puppet said Thursday.
The infrastructure automation tool could enable the Department of Defense to carry out and automate compliance with privacy and security controls and configuration standards. The platform has been used by military and federal agencies, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Defense Information Systems Agency, FBI, National Security Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Carahsoft will offer Puppet Enterprise through the General Services Administration’s Schedule 70, NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement and other contract vehicles.
“Puppet Enterprise has already seen widespread government adoption from military branches, and intelligence agencies. Through our partnership with Carahsoft, we’re looking forward to helping even more agencies and contractors receive the same security and delivery benefits,” said Melissa Palmer, vice president of public sector sales at Puppet.
