Kamal Arafeh, a former executive at energy services provider Halliburton (NYSE: HAL), has joined satellite data company Spire Global as senior vice president of sales.
He will be based in Washington, D.C., and will oversee efforts to grow Spire’s sales organization, partner program, geographic footprint and customer reach, the company said Wednesday.
Arafeh previously served as vice president of Halliburton’s Indian business, which saw its profit climb more than 100 percent during his first 12 months in the role.
His career also includes prior leadership positions with Asia Pacific Landmark Software, McAfee (Nasdaq: MCFE), Astaro, Roxio and eEye Digital Security, where he served as president and CEO.
“We look forward to welcoming Kamal to the Spire leadership team as we continue to execute on our growth strategy and deliver subscription-based data, insights, and predictive analytics to global customers across a range of government agencies and industries,” said Spire CEO Peter Platzer, who Arafeh will directly report to.
