Eight companies, including two small businesses, have won spots on a potential $750M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support waterfront construction projects within Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command’s Southwest area of responsibility.
Awardees will compete for task orders under the multiple-award IDIQ to build, repair or modify piers, dry docks and breakwaters, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command received 15 proposals for the construction services procurement vehicle on the SAM website. The IDIQ includes one option year and runs through December 2026.
Ninety percent of work will occur in California and the remaining 10 percent will take place in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.
The small-business awardees are Marathon Construction and R.E. Staite Engineering, while the larger contractors are as follows:
DoD Marine Constructors joint venture
The Dutra Group
Granite-Healy Tibbitts JV
Manson Construction
Reyes Construction
TNT Constructors
The Navy will initially provide $5K to each awardee using fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance funds.
