DLA Distribution awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts through a competitive acquisition process with two offers received, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The companies will support DLA Distribution’s modernization efforts by providing material handling equipment, systems and mechanization; technical, operational, maintenance and sustainment support; lifecycle management services; and wearable, individual and autonomous technologies under the IDIQ contract, according to a presolicitation notice posted in October 2019.
DLA wants the LMIS program to help improve audit readiness and accountability of operations, strengthen cybersecurity and information assurance for deployed MHE and streamline warehouse management, control and operations, among other objectives, the performance work statement reads.
Contract work will occur within and outside the continental U.S., through Sept. 23, 2025.
