LMI has received a contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to support a research and development program focused on ensuring network security for logistics operations.
The nonprofit company said Wednesday it will work with NTELX, Data Machines, Cougaar Software and the Florida Institute of Technology in efforts to establish test and evaluation methodologies for DARPA’s LogX program.
The LMI-lead team will help DARPA's Strategic Technology Office simulate logistics data challenges, create an experimental environment, integrate scenarios and test commercial technologies.
The program centers on mission-centered situational awareness applications as well as cloud microservices for the Department of Defense to assess the feasibility of using emerging technology to manage logistics functions.
Pete Pflugrath, vice president of LMI's logistics service line, said the company will apply a holistic approach and analytics to the LogX research platform.
