The State Department has approved Poland's request to procure missile systems from a Lockheed Martin-(NYSE: LMT)-Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) partnership through a potential $100M foreign military sales agreement with the U.S. government.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced Wednesday the proposed sale of 180 Javelin Joint Venture-built missiles, 79 command launch units, missile simulation rounds, battery coolant units, toolkits, maintenance components and training platforms.
DSCA added the deal will include logistics, transportation and technical support services.
Poland wants to procure the Javelin missile as part of national defense efforts and DSCA does not expect the country to face any difficulties when equipping its armed forces with the system.
