Sierra Nevada Corp. will manufacture two light attack aircraft for the U.S. Air Force under a $128.9M contract that also covers associated support and sparing services.
The service branch will obligate $63M in fiscal 2018 and fiscal 2019 production funds at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
SNC will perform work under the sole-source contract in Jacksonville, Fla., through Aug. 23, 2024.
The branch said in October it would buy two to three aircraft from each manufacturer as part of capacity-building and interoperability efforts with U.S. allies and partner nations.
