The U.S. Navy has awarded Boeing (NYSE: BA) a potential five-year, $93M contract to configure F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler training systems for the Australian air force.
Boeing will support the integration of three operator flight system configurations into the two aircraft types, update technical manuals, provide on-site training and deliver spares and support equipment through the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division is the contracting activity for the procurement.
Eighty-five percent of contract work will take place in Missouri and the remaining 15 percent will occur in Australia.
DoD expects Boeing to complete services by February 2025.
