Walsh Group’s federal business has won a potential $212.6M contract to build an aircraft maintenance hangar facility at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina.
The company will also modernize the installation’s flightline utility as part of the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command received four proposals for the project via the U.S. Navy’s Electronic Commerce Online portal.
The incrementally funded contract contains a $93.2M base value and five options. DoD noted the service branch will allocate $90.4M at the time of award and obligate an additional $104.6M in fiscal 2020.
The department expects work to be finished in July 2022.
