BAE Gets $249M Army Modification for Howitzer Systems Delivery

BAE Systems has secured a four-year, $249.1M contract modification to deliver self-propelled howitzer artillery systems, carrier unit, tracked vehicles, ammunition and related support services to the U.S. Army.

The service branch obligated the full value of the modification from fiscal years 2018 and 2019 other procurement funds, the Department of Defense said Friday.

BAE previously received a potential $1.7B contract in 2017 to produce and deliver M992A3 carrier vehicles and M109A7 self-propelled howitzers to the Army.

Contract work is slated to run through Jan. 31, 2023 and will take place in York, Penn.
