ManTech Wins $82M Task Order for Navy Unmanned Platform Analysis, R&D Support; Matt Tait Quoted

ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has won a potential five-year, $82M task order to support a Naval Air Systems Command office in research, development and analysis efforts intended to advance unmanned aircraft features.

The company said Wednesday it will help NAVAIR PMA 262 explore approaches to collect, analyze, process and distribute technical and scientific data from the U.S. Navy’s MQ-4C Triton unmanned aerial vehicles.

Similar work may extend to the Navy’s MQ-25 Stingray and MQ-8 Fire Scout platforms as well as the U.S. Air Force’s UAVs.

The AF Installation Contracting Center awarded the task order under the Defense Technical Information Center™s Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract, valued at 28B over nine years.

ManTech will primarily perform the task at a facility in Crane, Ind., and seeks to assist USAF and other Department of Defense customers in efforts to discover potential correlations, understand findings of data assessments and make decisions.

Matt Tait, president pf ManTech’s mission solutions and services group, said the company will work “to innovate next generation intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, electronic warfare, mission systems and survivability systems through the recompete award.

Tait added the systems are intended to help U.S. forces receive intelligence in real time to increase their mission readiness and situational awareness.
