Mike Madsen, former vice president of integrated supply chain operations at Honeywell‘s (NYSE: HON) aerospace business, has been promoted to president and CEO of the same group.
He succeeds Tim Mahoney, who has led the unit over the past 10 years and will transition to a new role as senior vice president of enterprise transformation, Honeywell said Tuesday.
Mahoney, a 2016 Wash100 inductee, will oversee the firm™s digital arm responsible for global digitization and customer service improvement efforts. He joined the industrial conglomerate in 1997 after a two-decade career with United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
Both executives will be based in Phoenix and report directly to Honeywell Chairman and CEO Darius Adamczyk.
Previously, Madsen held positions within the unit™s defense and space division where he oversaw partnerships with original equipment manufacturers, government stakeholders and buyers of commercial helicopters worldwide. He has more than 30 years of leadership experience.
Honeywell also named Jeff Kimbell, formerly a partner in McKinsey & Co.™s transformation practice, as SVP and chief commercial officer. Kimbell previously worked at Dell EMC, Silver Lake Partners, Cerberus Capital, Transamerica and Procter & Gamble.
