Cognosante has received a potential three-year, $149M task order to continue to provide support services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care Referrals and Authorizations program, G2Xchange Health reported Wednesday.
VA issued the task order under the $22.3B Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation contract vehicle awarded in 2016. Twenty-one companies won spots on the T4NG vehicle for health information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering and other IT modernization support for VA and other federal agencies.
Cognosante made its entry into the VA segment in 2016 after it acquired Business Information Technology Solutions in a push to expand its presence in the public health IT sector. BITS was one of the companies that secured a position on T4NG.
