The U.S. Air Force has awarded seven companies spots on a potential five-year, $95M contract to modernize, repair, maintain or build facilities at Kirtland AF Base in New Mexico. Structures covered by the multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract include airfield pavements, roads, utilities and roofs, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Task orders will encompass asbestos removal, carpentry, demolition, masonry, welding, paving, plumbing, electrical and mechanical services. The AF Installation Contracting Center received 16 bids for the multiple-award IDIQ and obligated $1.6M at the time of award.
