Huntsville, Ala.-based technology company deciBel Research won a potential 60-month, $172.6M contract to help the Missile Defense Agency develop software and model applications to support ballistic missile defense system operations.
MDA received three offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and will obligate $5M for the initial $29.2M task order, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DeciBel Research will produce modular software designed to meet truth model requirements and support simulation activities for various agency applications.
According to a FedBizOpps notice, work will also involve integration and testing of models on systems and element representations as well as other sustainment tasks.
DeciBel Research offers BMDS, radar, imaging and sensor technology R&D services to defense customers.
