The General Services Administration issued Friday a request for proposals for a potential 10-year, $8B contract to provide an enterprise cloud computing service for the Department of Defense, Nextgov reported Tuesday.
The Defense Enterprise Office Solutions contract seeks cloud-based applications and services designed to provide communication, productivity and collaboration capabilities to more than 3M DoD users.
Companies with spots on GSAs IT Schedule 70 can submit bids for the DEOS contract, which serves as capability set 1 or the initial phase of the Pentagons three-phase Enterprise Collaboration and Productivity Services program covering collaboration, content management, productivity suite and messaging services.
GSA will consider offers from cloud service providers with a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program authorization at moderate impact level or a non-defense federal agency authority to operate, according to the request for quotation.
A spokesperson for GSA said responses to the solicitation are due by May 28.
