General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has landed a spot on a potential 10-year, $980M contract vehicle to provide technology platforms in support the U.S. Army’s electronic and cyber warfare missions.
The R4 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will serve as a means for the service branch to order new cyber tools as well as systems modernization, training and documentation support services, the company said Wednesday.
William Patterson, vice president and general manager of the ground systems line of business at General Dynamics’ mission systems business, said the company seeks to apply its portfolio of EW and cyber offerings to help the Army gain an advantage in the cyber domain.
“Our team has partnered with the Army for more than 20 years and we look forward to meeting the challenge to provide dominance in the electromagnetic and cyber domains,” he said.
The mission systems unit will lead an industry team composed of technology vendors to support the service branch via the R4 IDIQ.
