Sierra Nevada Corp. has secured a potential $317M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide logistics support for the precision strike package of the U.S. Air Force’s AC-130W and AC-130J gunship platforms.
SNC will perform contract work through Sept. 30, 2026, at Cannon AF Base in New Mexico and Hurlburt Field in Florida, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The service will obligate $26.8M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
AC-130W is built to primarily support close air support and air interdiction missions. AC-130J is designed to perform the same primary missions as AC-130W and also used to conduct armed reconnaissance operations.
