TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 5, 2019 ” A joint venture between General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will work to maintain systems and manage activities at a U.S. Army missile test range in the Pacific Ocean as part of a previously awarded $502M contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Feb. 25.
Raytheon said Feb. 25 its intelligence, information and services business’ RGNext venture with General Dynamics’ information technology unit will operate the 750K-square-mile Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site on the Kwajalein Atoll, as well as the Kwajalein Mission Control Center and Range Safety Control Center on the island and the Alabama-based Range Operations Center and Space Operations Center.
“The Reagan Test Site is used for some of our nation’s most important defense programs, from ensuring our ballistic missiles work as designed to proving the capabilities of our missile defense systems,” said Todd Probert, vice president of Raytheon IIS.
He noted that RGNext will build on its experience in launch range operations to support the Army mission.
