BAE Systems has won a potential $136.2M firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Navy for maintenance, repair and modernization of Arleigh Burke-class destroyer ship USS Bulkeley.
The company will provide the human resources and facilities needed to coordinate, integrate and complete multiple areas of the project, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The Navy received three bids for the contract via a full and open competition within the East coast and will obligate $114.6M at the time of award. DoD noted that $85.2M of the obligated funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
BAE’s Norfolk Ship Repair business will perform work in Virginia through June 2020.
