BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has received a $140.3M contract modification to build 30 amphibious combat vehicles for the U.S. Marine Corps.
The modification exercises options under a previously awarded contract and includes fielding, support and associated production services, the Department of Defensesaid Thursday.
Eight-five percent of work will occur in York, Pa., and the remaining 15 percent will take place in Aiken, S.C., with an expected completion date of August 2020.
The Marine Corps awarded BAE and Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) separate contracts worth a combined $225M in late 2015 to develop prototypes under the engineering, manufacturing and development phase of the ACV 1.1 program.
