The U.S. Navy has awarded six firms spots on a potential $636.9M multiple-award contract to help the service develop and train forces that support missions of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday the companies that will compete for task orders under the contract are:
Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH)
Calibre Systems
Capstone
General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology unit
Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC)
Science Applications Information Corp. (NYSE: SAIC)
The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a base term of five years and a six-month option.
Tasks include cybersecurity; exercise and event and simulation and architecture design; planning; concept, scenario and courseware development; logistics; simulation model management and operations; and facility operations, according to a FedBizOpps notice.
Ninety percent of work will be performed at government facilities in Suffolk, Va., and the rest at contractor facilities across the U.S.
All six companies are expected to begin work in May 2019 through April 2024. The department will provide $10K from fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance defense acquisition funds to each contractor at the time of award.
