Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential $164M firm-fixed-price contract to deliver Integrated Bridge and Navigation Systems to support modernization efforts for the U.S. Navy™s Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.
The contract covers base hardware production services as well as hull, mechanical and electrical updates as part of the DDG-51 New Construction Ship and Midlife Modernization programs, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The contract includes extension options and has a base value of $18.1M.
The Navy received one offer for the contract via FedBizOpps and will obligate the base amount from fiscal 2018 other procurement, and fiscal 2016 and 2018 shipbuilding and conversion funds at the time of award.
Work will take place in Charlottesville, Va. through February 2020.
