DynCorp International has secured a $258M contract extension from the U.S. Army Sustainment Command to continue base life support and maintenance operations to aid over 18K U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
The 12-month task order supports the Armyâs Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV contract and requires DynCorp to manage facilities, sewage and waste, hazardous materials, airfield and movement control operations, container yards, and morale welfare and recreation programs, DynCorp said Friday.
Other logistics and operational support services include electrical power supply, water production, laundry operations, billeting, equipment handling, firefighting, transportation and food.
Mark Weinerth, DynCorpâs LG4 project manager in Southern Afghanistan, said the company is privileged to provide services to the troops supporting Operation Resolute Support, and the team is ready to continue its efforts after gaining a âstellar reputationâ for delivering exceptional service.
DynCorpâs logistics contract has a total value of $6.7B and runs for more than nine years.
The LOGCAP regulatory program aims to deliver logistics and support services from the private industry to U.S. and allied forces on the field during military missions such as combat, peacekeeping, humanitarian and training operations.
