Mark Whitney
Mark Whitney, formerly chief operating officer of AECOMs (NYSE: ACM) nuclear and environment strategic business unit, has been named general manager and executive vice president of the unit.
He succeeds the retiring Todd Wright to oversee the segments daily operations, business development efforts and strategic initiatives, AECOM said Monday.
Whitney will also lead the companys operations and administrative support work with local and international government clients such as the U.S. Energy Department and the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
John Vollmer
John Vollmer, president of management services group at AECOM, said Whitneys experience as the business units COO and tenure with DOE would support the companys growth efforts in the nuclear market.
Whitney is a 20-year nuclear industry veteran who joined AECOM in 2016 after serving as principal deputy assistant secretary at DOEs office of environmental management.
He held leadership roles at DOEs National Nuclear Security Administration such as interim principal assistant deputy administrator for defense nuclear nonproliferation and assistant deputy administrator for nonproliferation and international security.
