The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Boeing (NYSE: BA) a potential $217M delivery order to supply aircraft spare parts for the U.S. Navy‘s F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet.
DLA issued the order under a previously awarded five-year contract that also includes an option to extend work for an additional five years, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Boeing will perform work in Missouri and will aim to complete deliveries by Dec. 30, 2022.
The company received a separate five-year, $1.52B contract in June to provide life cycle upgrade support for F/A-18 and EA-18G planes operated by the Navy and foreign military sales clients.
