Boeing (NYSE: BA) announced on Monday approximately $2.1 billion worth of services orders, contracts and agreements with government agencies and commercial customers at the Farnborough International Airshow in the U.K.
The company said Monday the agreements and orders span across its global services business capability areas that include training and professional services; digital aviation and analytics; supply chain; and engineering, modifications and maintenance.
Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Global Services, said the orders seek to reflect the companys efforts to deliver end-to-end platforms and services designed to improve the efficiency of clients operations and assets.
One of the agreements is with the U.S. Air Force, which awarded a potential $986 million contract for Boeing to operate, upgrade and sustain the services C-17 aircrew and maintenance platforms and provide crew instruction support.
The military branch also awarded the company a four-year contract to deliver parts obsolescence management support as well as configure and repair radars aboard its fleet of F-15 aircraft.
Boeing also signed a five-year agreement with the Dutch air force to provide performance-based logistics services for the latters fleet of CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
