Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a potential $219.6 million delivery order to implement an engineering change proposal to the F/A-18Hornet fuel tank for the U.S. Navy.
The company will help the service branch design, develop, test and integrate the conformal fuel tank onto the multirole combat aircraft, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The Navy will obligate $18.9 million in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work under the cost-plus-fixed-fee order will occur through July 2022 at various locations in California, Missouri, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
