Greg Jones, former vice president of corporate business development and international programs at Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA), has been named senior VP of strategy and business development at Aerojet Rocketdyne (NYSE: AJRD) in a move that takes effect Feb. 5.
Aerojet Rocketdyne said Monday Jones will oversee strategic planning, customer alignment growth initiatives as well as help establish the company’s footprint in new and adjacent markets.
“Greg’s diverse industry expertise will help us capitalize on our core strength of proven innovation through commitment to cutting-edge technologies,” said President and CEO Eileen Drake.
The more than 30-year aerospace veteran led transition and integration efforts as part of Orbital Sciences‘ 2015 merger with the aerospace and defense groups of ATK to form Orbital ATK.
Jones also held leadership positions at Boeing (NYSE: BA), which he joined through its combination with McDonnell Douglas in 1997.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from San Diego State University and an M.B.A degree from Pepperdine University.
