The General Services Administration has awarded Unisys (NYSE: UIS) a spot on a potential five-year, $250 million blanket purchase agreement for information technology services to GSA’s Public Buildings Service.
Unisys said Thursday it is one of seven companies that will compete for task orders to develop agile IT applications, support building and energy systems, supply mobile and cloud platforms or provide helpdesk services under the BPA contract.
“Workers from across the federal government depend on the Public Buildings Service to provide suitable places for them to work and be productive civil servants,” said Chris Bauer, group vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys’ federal business.
“We are excited for the opportunity to compete to continue to support the agency’s essential mission,” Bauer added.
Unisys’ federal arm has supported PBS™ mission to build and lease facilities for federal civilian employees through a previous BPA that the agency awarded in 2013.
