Richard “Chip” Terry, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and former acting chief information officer of the Military Health System, has been named vice president and client relations executive for federal health and defense programs at ASRC Federal.
ASRC Federal said Thursday Terry will lead ASRC Federal’s partnership and customer base growth efforts in the military and civilian health sectors that include the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
“Chip is an enterprise leader who drives tailored, responsive support to agencies and brings the qualities to this position,” said ASRC Federal President and CEO Mark Gray.
œHis expertise and leadership in health information technology and military health systems are recognized throughout the civilian and defense health industry,” added Gray, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017.
Terry, who joined the Air Force in 1987, previously served as acting health IT director at the Defense Health Agency.
His 30-year military career has also included time as CIO of the Air Force Medical Service, vice commander of the Air Force Medical Support Agency and deputy assistant surgeon general for modernization at the Air Force Headquarters.
