John Sutton Named KeyW COO; Marion Ruzecki Appointed Chief People Officer

KeyW Corp. (Nasdaq: KEYW) has named John Sutton, formerly head of Vencore™s defense, civilian and homeland security group, as chief operating officer and 22-year employee care and recruitment professional Marion Ruzecki as chief people officer.

Sutton will succeed the departing COO Mark Willard on May 15, KeyW said Wednesday.

œJohn has extensive experience with growth and mergers and acquisitions, and he brings an operational discipline that aligns well with our go-forward strategy, said KeyW CEO Bill Weber.

Weber noted that Sutton comes to KeyW as the company continues the integration with Herndon, Virginia-based Sotera Defense Solutions.

KeyW completed its $235 million cash acquisition of Sotera in April in an effort to form a combined entity that will offer cloud, data analytics, cyber, geospatial, machine learning and engineering support services to intelligence and defense agency clients.

Sutton, who spent nearly six years at Vencore, played a role in at least 25 M&A transactions.

He also held senior leadership roles at several technology and telecommunications firms such as ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT), AT&T (NYSE: T), Global Crossing and PRC.

Ruzecki, formerly senior vice president for employee care and development at Novetta, will serve as chief people officer starting June 12.

Prior to Novetta, Ruzecki held employee care and recruitment positions at several companies that include TechPerm, ManTech and IT Tech Direct.

Willard and Kim DeChello, who will step down as KeyW™s chief administrative officer, will continue to support the company through the end of the quarter prior to transitioning to advisory roles.
