An L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) business unit has won a potential $202.2 million contract to provide depot-level maintenance, logistics and sustaining engineering services for C-12 utility lift aircraft of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday L3’s Vertex Aerospace business will perform site support, aircraft and engine depot maintenance, aircraft and systems modifications under the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery requirements contract.
C-12 Huron is designed to transport military personnel and cargo during courier flight, humanitarian rescue and assistance, multiengine pilot training and testing, medical evacuation and range clearance missions.
The Naval Air Systems Command received five bids for the contract via a competitive procurement and will determine the funds to be obligated with each order.
Vertex Aerospace will perform work in Arizona, California, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Bahrain, Cuba and Japan through July 2022.
