John Barter
John Barter, chairman of the board of directors at DHI Group (NYSE: DHX), has been elected to join Engility‘s (NYSE: EGL) board as an independent director.
Engility said Dec. 27 in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Barter will also serve on the audit committee of the board of the Chantilly, Virginia-based government services contractor.
John brings a wealth of industry knowledge, financial expertise, and a track record of strategic leadership to the Engility board, Lynn Dugle, Engility CEO, said in a statement released Tuesday.
Barter’s appointment brings the total number of directors to 10.
He previously worked as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Honeywell International (NYSE: HON) and CFO of optical networking technology developer Kestrel Solutions.
Barter is currently also a board member at Engility’s TASC subsidiary and Quality Tech.
