Stephan Farrand, a 16-year aerospace and defense industry veteran, has joined Los Angeles-based visual collaboration platforms provider Oblong Industries as regional sales manager of the companys federal team.
Farrand will work through the companys office in Arlington, Virginia, and help the firm expand capabilities in support of municipal and defense clients, Oblong Industries said Thursday.
Michael Friedel, federal sales director at Oblong, said Farrand will leverage his experience in the aerospace and defense sector to inform government agencies and industry leaders how Oblongs collaborative platforms work to link people to data and devices as well as facilitate the decision-making process.
Prior to Oblong, Farrand previously worked at Govini as strategy development executive in charge of aerospace and defense accounts.
He also held senior account management roles at BizFlow Corp., Information Mapping and AEC Software.
Oblongs federal team supports government agencies such as the Defense Contract Management Agency, NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration through the companys Mezzanine platform.
Mezzanine is a visual collaboration platform that works to help federal agencies and companies share documents and applications as well as facilitate communication with participants in remote locations.
