Serco Groups North American subsidiary will continue its site support services at a military base in Good Bay, Canada under a potential four-year, $115 million contract from the country’s public services and procurement agency.
Serco Inc. said Monday it will extend its non-military operations and maintenance functions at the base that include warehouse operations, snow and ice removal, environmental protection, hazardous waste management and material control.

The subsidiary’s services will also cover engineering, telecommunications, information technology, electrical and airfield distribution systems, water treatment, central heating plant operations, grounds maintenance, security, food and janitorial functions.
“Our work supports 5 Wing’s priorities to assist NORAD operations and to be a joint/combined forces training center of excellence for the Department of National Defence and other allied forces at the base, ” said Dan Allen, CEO and chairman of Serco Inc.
The contract from Public Services and Procurement Canada includes two base years and a pair of one-year option periods.
Serco Inc. started its logistics and facilities management services to Canada’s defense department at the 275, 000-square-metered 5 Wing Goose Bay site in 1998.
