The U.S. Air Force plans to award a sole-source contract to United Launch Alliance for two Delta 4 rockets to launch National Reconnaissance Office, Space News reported Monday.

The Air Force opted for a sole-source contract with ULA to acquire certified launch vehicles that can accommodate satellite integration, schedule needs and other requirements, Gruss reported.
The Defense Department said it plans to award a contract for the NROL-82 mission later this year ahead of its schedule 2020 launch while the NROL-91 contract will be issued in 2017 for deployment in 2023, Space News stated.
