Parsons Corp. has won a potential five-year, $86 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency to provide advisory and assistance services for the Ballistic Missile Defense System program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday that Parsons’ government services business will support the development of an integrated command, control, communications and battle management engineering support system for BMDS.
The C3BM system will be designed to help BMDS adapt and respond to intelligence-based threats as well as defend the homeland, regional interests, allies and deployed forces against ballistic missile threats, DoD added.
Work will occur at various locations in Alabama, Colorado, Maryland and the National Capital Region through August 2021.
MDA received two offers for the contract and will obligate $2.6 million at the time of the award from fiscal year 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
