Turner Construction has landed a potential three-year, $114 million contract from the U.S. Navy for the construction of the U.S. Naval Academy cyber security studies academic building.
The company will design and build classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, lecture halls, offices, multipurpose spaces, a loading dock, an observatory and a testing tank in support of the engineering and weapons laboratories of the multistory academic facility, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command will obligate $106.7 million in gift funds and fiscal 2015 military construction funds for the firm-fixed-price contract, which includes three options.
DoD said Turner will work on the construction project in Annapolis, Maryland, through September 2019.
