Tria Federal Appoints Atchut Kanthamani as President, Andrew Hand as SVP

Tria Federal has appointed Atchut Kanthamani, founder and CEO of Softrams, as president and Andrew Hand, a strategy and business development executive, as a senior vice president.

Sagewind Capital-backed Tria said Thursday Kanthamani will oversee the company’s business growth and technology innovation teams.

“By aligning critical functional teams under Atchut’s leadership, we are ensuring that Tria takes full advantage of everything that helped make Softrams special,” said Tria Federal CEO Tim Borchert. “His leadership will be instrumental as we deliver digital services and technology solutions that support the health and safety of veterans, service members and civilians.”

In November, Tria Federal acquired technology firm Softrams to expand its federal health services.

Tria recently unveiled a new office in Maryland to provide work, event and collaboration space for employees, partners and clients.

Atchut Kanthamani’s Career Highlights

In 2015, Kanthamani founded Softrams and developed it into one of the fastest-growing digital services firms delivering cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other technologies and services to federal agencies.

Before founding Softrams, the technology industry veteran was a program manager at Northrop Grumman.

He built a career in healthcare IT and held leadership roles at CGI Federal, Capital One and Freddie Mac.

Andrew Hand’s Career Background

Hand brings to Tria Federal his expertise in new business development, process improvement, capture management, delivery operations and agile development process integration.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he most recently served as VP of growth and strategy at Softrams, where he also served as growth and strategy account lead for the Department of Defense.

He has over a decade of experience supporting DOD and federal government clients as a program manager, software developer and operations lead.

The University of Alabama Huntsville management information systems graduate held technology and program leadership roles at several companies, including Harmonia Holdings Group, IronMountain Solutions and Yulista Aviation.
