Darren Conner has been elevated to chief operating officer at Dewberry.
The professional services firm said Wednesday Conner will spearhead the business development and strategic planning for its 60 offices, responsible for providing services such as architecture, construction, engineering, environmental, geospatial, mapping, survey, planning, consulting, advisory and technology to clients in various sectors. He will also be responsible for aligning the company’s client management program to support new and existing customers.
Darren Conner’s Extensive Dewberry Career
The long-standing executive has been with Dewberry for over four decades. He most recently served as president of Dewberry Engineers, the firm’s nationwide engineering practice. During his seven years in the position, Conner oversaw the operations of over 50 offices nationwide that provided environmental, site, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, energy and transportation engineering services. As president, he played a key role in four significant acquisitions, helping the company’s expansion efforts.
Prior to that, Conner was president of the southeast division for eight years, where he managed around 500 personnel in 24 offices. He also spent 15 years as the business unit manager for the company’s Danville, Virginia office, where he led business development efforts.
