The long-standing Viasat executive brings a proven track record in building businesses, developing strategies and fostering innovations. Miller has spent almost three decades at Viasat, joining the company in 1995. Before his promotion, he served as senior vice president and chief of strategic initiatives. He spearheaded the Viasat-Inmarsat integration, working closely with the CEO to reshape the company’s structure and operation model for future land, sea, air and space connectivity.
Miller served as president of global space networks for over a year, overseeing engineering development, including satellites, terminals and networks for commercial and government sectors. He also served as president, VP and chief technology officer of the government systems division, where he was responsible for the company’s technical direction. He orchestrated technology roadmaps and fostered collaboration between commercial and government entities.
The executive was VP and general manager of resilient space missions, where he was instrumental in establishing Viasat’s government space business. Under his watch, the business achieved $10 million in sales in its first year and more than doubled that amount in its second year. He was also the technical director of specialized Satcom systems.
Miller spent his first 18 years at Viasat as a project engineer and a member of the technical staff.
