The U.S. Navy has awarded a firm-fixed-price contract valued at $108.6 million to BAE Systems to provide maintenance, modernization and repair services to the USS The Sullivans. The Fletcher-class destroyer will undergo docking selected restricted availability in Mayport, Florida, until March 2027, the Department of Defense said.
Contract Details
Under the FFP, Jacksonville Ship Repair, BAE Systems’ fully-facilitized shipyard located in Florida, will provide labor, equipment, production, testing, supervision and quality assurance to complete the requirements under the Chief of Naval Operations Availability for critical modernization, maintenance, and repair programs.
The Navy issued a request for quotations on SAM.gov in late 2024 for the services and received two bids. The Naval Sea Systems Command serves as the contracting activity.
