SMX Buys cBEYONData to Expand Public Sector Tech Offerings

Digital technology company SMX has acquired cBEYONData for an undisclosed sum to establish a provider of digital transformation capabilities meant to help government customers address their planning, financial and analytical needs.

OceanSound Partners-backed SMX said Tuesday cBEYONData will continue to operate with its existing leadership team within the newly established Enterprise Systems and Solutions business unit led by SMX President Sandeep Dorawala.

Expanded Capabilities for Government Customers

A portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, cBEYONData provides implementation, design and managed service capabilities and a portfolio of financial analytics and budget management platforms that provide real-time visibility and transparency to customers within the Department of Department and federal civilian agencies.

With the transaction, the combined company will now offer clients a portfolio of specialized enterprise data and systems, including CFO Control Tower and cBEYONDLab.

CFO Control Tower is a software suite designed to integrate with government enterprise resource planning, or ERP, systems and provide budget planning capabilities, real-time financial data analytics and collaboration and automation tools. 

The cloud-hosted sandbox environment, called cBEYONDLab, enables federal agencies to conduct continuous exploration of ERP and ERP-enabled platforms before making major software purchases.
