HawkEye 360 has made changes to its executive team to drive growth, streamline operations, improve service delivery and ensure agility to pursue emerging opportunities in the radio frequency geospatial intelligence market.
“We have streamlined our organizational structure, defined new areas of responsibility, and aligned key roles to enable our company’s continued rapid acceleration of our business,” HawkEye 360 CEO John Serafini said in a statement published Thursday.
Chris Herndon, COO & CIO
Chris Herndon, chief information officer at HawkEye 360, will take on additional responsibilities as chief operating officer of the signals intelligence and data analytics company.
He has over two decades of experience in government IT, leading senior IT programs at government integrators. He previously served as director of the White House Information Technology and oversaw IT strategy and operations.
The University of Maryland electrical engineering graduate is a Lean Six Sigma Black belt.
Craig Searle, Chief Business Officer
Craig Searle, most recently vice president of strategic finance, has been promoted to chief business officer.
He brings to the role over 20 years of finance and strategy leadership experience.
The former HawkEye 360 board member and University of Rochester economics graduate previously served as a director on the strategic investments and acquisitions team at Advance, which invests in assets spanning communications, media and technology.
Alex Fox, President, International Business Unit
Alex Fox, the company’s chief growth officer, will transition to the role of president of the newly formed international business unit. In this capacity, he will oversee the unit’s management, strategic direction and performance.
He has over three decades of leadership experience in operations, business development and engineering, specifically in global defense and intelligence.
Before HawkEye 360, the Georgia Tech graduate worked at Harris’ space and intelligence business, where he was director of space ISR solutions serving defense, intelligence, civil and commercial organizations.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Fox also held leadership roles at IBM, DigitalGlobe and Northrop Grumman.
Janine Sweeney, Chief Human Resources Officer
Janine Sweeney, a human resources leader, has been named chief HR officer. In this capacity, she will continue to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Since joining the company, she has led the HR strategy and played a key role in the development and implementation of HR programs to advance talent acquisition, employee engagement and leadership development.
Stephanie Widzinski, Chief Accounting Officer
Stephanie Widzinski, most recently vice president of finance at HawkEye 360, has been promoted to chief accounting officer.
According to her profile on the professional networking site, her industry career included time holding accounting management roles at Raytheon, Watkins Meegan and Argon ST.
She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
