Technology company Alpha Omega has acquired IT contracting firms Macro Solutions and SeKON as part of a push to drive innovation and growth and broaden its offerings for military and federal agency clients.
Macro Solutions Purchase
Alpha Omega said Thursday the Macro Solutions acquisition will strengthen its national security division, enabling it to expand its tech modernization offerings for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy and build on its existing contracts with the departments of State and Homeland Security.
The transaction also positions the federal technology platforms provider to address diplomacy, military operations and other national security priorities.
Gautam Ijoor, CEO of Alpha Omega, said Macro Solutions’ artificial intelligence-driven code modernization work is well-known within the Department of Defense and the Tradewinds marketplace.
“Combining expertise and digital transformation in Workday and Oracle Cloud for ERP and human capital management Alpha Omega will increase delivery of more impactful and robust solutions across Defense, Financial Regulatory, and broader government sectors,” added Ijoor.
SeKON Acquisition
Alpha Omega also purchased SeKON, formerly SeKON Enterprise, to establish a new health domain vertical focused on creating opportunities to improve health outcomes for military personnel and the general public. The company also expects to field more contracts and expand its offerings through the transaction.
SeKON supports several agencies, including the Defense Health Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
“Integrating SeKON’s Health domain expertise and capabilities represents a key market expansion for Alpha Omega,” said Ijoor. “SeKON is a vital addition as we continue to make our IT solutions readily accessible by way of our growing portfolio of unrestricted contract vehicles, including CIOSP4 unrestricted and Alliant 3.”
Greg Nossaman of G Squared Capital Partners and Todd Taskey of Potomac Business Capital provided expert guidance to Alpha Omega in both deals. The company sought Morrison & Foerster’s legal assistance and financial and tax expertise of BDO and Grant Thornton.
