The Department of Homeland Security plans to launch a competition for a governmentwide acquisition contract to provide tactical communications and technical investigative surveillance operations equipment and services for DHS and other federal government agencies operating in the U.S. and foreign locations.
According to a notice published Tuesday on the Acquisition Planning Forecast System, the proposed Tactical Communications and Technical Investigative Surveillance Operations III, or TacCom and TechOps III, contract has an estimated value of over $100 million.
DHS plans to issue a solicitation by Feb. 14 and expects to award the contract by the third quarter of fiscal year 2025.
Contract work is expected to be performed in Lorton, Virginia, and run through May 13, 2030.
TacCom and TechOps III Contract Scope
The proposed multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has two technical categories: equipment and services.
The equipment category includes radios and accessories, infrastructure, maritime/air, satellite, video equipment, audio equipment and ancillary systems and devices.
The contract covers radios, TechOps systems, operations and sustainment services, engineering and project management services under the services category.
