Core One Solutions has acquired Calhoun International as part of a push to expand the delivery of mission-critical support to agency customers within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
With the acquisition, Core One said Tuesday Calhoun Chief Financial Officer Nesha Burrows has joined the company as vice president of national security defense programs.
Intelligence Analysis Provider to DOD
Founded in 2005, Calhoun provides intelligence planning and analysis, counterintelligence/human intelligence and program management support services for DOD and intelligence customers.
The Tampa, Florida-based company supports the national security missions of several DOD clients, including the U.S. Army G-2, U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.
Patrick Moniz, co-founder and CEO of Core One, called the Calhoun acquisition an exciting milestone in the company’s growth.
“With a collective team of more than 500 personnel, this partnership enables us to expand our reach to new mission end users and continue to strengthen our nation’s evolving defense capabilities,” added Moniz.
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman acted as Core One’s legal counsel and Holland & Knight advised Calhoun on the deal’s legal aspect.
Since 2014, Core One has been providing intelligence analysis, training and logistics, operational support and strategic services for customers in the national security community.
